This is all you need!

Now I know why I love giving quilts to my loved ones!

Here is the Divine Miss M. closely checking out the quilting on "The Corn Is As High As An Elephant's Eye". This one is for when she gets into a cot! (3 months old)

Banjo is getting to the age when he is recognising "identities" like Bob the Builder who is on a small patch in his quilt. Gathering up lots and lots of I Spy fabrics for this quilt is all worthwhile!
Here he is ready for his night time story with Nana's radio, a wonderful toy, especially at 6.30 in the morning. (2 years old)

Banjo and Miss Maggie

How many pairs of hands are there holding her down??

Poor Banjo is forcing a smile as he'd been sick with an Inner Ear infection, poor little mite. But how can you not smile when you're on Grandad's lap?

I'm on a roll, so while I'm at it here are a few shots of my gorgeous grandchildren taken 2 weeks ago in Brisbane.

We went up to their christenings. A lovely family affair with only Rob missing as he was in Thailand and now should be in India.

Perfect Love

Perfect Love sometimes does not come until the first grandchild (Welsh proverb)

Great News!!!!

We have just received good news - Banjo is to have a baby brother or sister next year.
Now when it came to naming Banjo, I was pretty spot on calling him Indiana Frances - he ended up being Banjo Indiana. Now this one was conceived in Sweden so I am now thinking and looking at the atlas!

Banjo and Family -October 2007

A few shots of Banjo and family.
Went to Maroochydore for lunch with John and Amira (G's brother) and then went for a paddle at the river with G. Nic and Bud the dog, one block away from John's.
Also went to Baby-Swim. I was his helper for the swim, a very relaxed baby in the water, more pre-occupied with the floating toys than whether he was actually floating!

Scatterday J

Scatterday J, originally uploaded by FranW.

I'm late...I'm late, but l had an important date!!!!
Last week it was J, I am not even looking at anybody else's blog until I have posted mine.

Pointy thing - my juicer, squeezes better than any old plastic one and cleans easier too!

Restaurant - I read the phone book- we just don't have a restaurant starting with a J in town!

Swimming - ditto phone book, I planned to gate crash a Judo club but the 2 in town were listed as out of town.

NOW I will show you why I was late posting Scatterdays!

Scatterday B

Scatterday B, originally uploaded by FranW.

I'm late, I'm late!!!!!
I've been "away" to Smithton, which is on the far north west coast of Tasmania. Very gallantly told a cousin I would come down and "help" with 5 grandchildren for part of the school holidays. What I didn't realise is that Judy has to be at one home at 5.30 AM each morning so the single father of 2 boys aged 3 and 5 can not be left alone. THEN she heads off to her daughter's house with these 2 in tow to look after another 3 boys ages 6, 10 and 13!!! Today was the last day of school holidays and everyone is pleased!
I drove through beautiful scenery. Ah yes, big bull, big paddock full of bulbs, big bluff (The Nut at Stanley or would I use Table Cape?)
I got a few pictures taken, but disaster overtook when on the 2nd day my battery went flat (B....y Battery) and I hadn't bought the spare or the re-charger! So that was that!
Judy even went to a few shops when she was in town "nooo, we don't have them that modern down here! They must be new models!"

My favourite is of course Banjo, and after this week, I think it will be worth money to his parents to make him an only child!
Big things - Boy, branch and big beach (at Stanley)
Shop - Banjo's Bakery

I would like to briefly add that I didn't join in the morning shift but had a leisurely lie-in for 4 mornings and wandered out to the farm in time for lunch bearing delights like small saveloys, cheese and fruit (which I was told they wouldn't eat!)

I also taught a class with the Smithton ladies, a lovely afternoon, after which we went to a local pub for dinner, and I had the large serve of fresh Tassie crumbed and deep fried scallops. I even had them the next night!

Banjo and Nic, September 2007

Off for a 4 hour cycling-sightseeing trip of Berlin.

It was such a long tour -sightseeing is so tiring!

I didn't do it!

Berlin Wall, originally uploaded by FranW.

My overseas family are heading off to Norway for a few days, Nic is working in Oslo at a Ruby Rails Conference (all a bit beyond me) and they're driving from Berlin and will do the sights.

I'm not sure which part of the Berlin Wall Banjo painted!
